Renovation of a medical facility in Nanaimo, British Columbia. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.
The project is the replacement of the existing end-of-life SPECT/CT GE Infinia Hawkeye installed in 2006. The scope of work will include the renovation of NRGH room 1148 to provide a SPECT scan room, and the associated control and equipment rooms as required. The new space will be brought up to current CSA Standards with new fixtures and finishes. TIMELINE: Request for Proposals is underway for proponents to provide architect/managing consultant services for the project. Island Health will procure the services of Architect, Electrical Engineer and Mechanical Engineer separately. Further update in late 2025, pending selection of a preferred proponent.
