Renovation of a water / sewer project in Cleveland, Ohio. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
The City of Aurora Westerly Wastewater Treatment Plant's existing generator has exceeded its lifetime and warrants replacement. The city is soliciting contractors to disconnect the existing generator and install a new generator and transfer switch supplied by the city. All work is to be done in accordance with the National Electrical Code and State/Local Building standards. o Disconnect the existing generator on site for city disposal. Assist with on site relocation. o Assist with placing the new generator on the existing, extended concrete pad. o Disconnect the existing electrical service from Ohio Edison o Install temporary generator (provided by the city) o Remove the existing automatic transfer switch o Install provided automatic transfer switch o Reconnect the new transfer switch to the existing electrical panel o Reconnect the power to the Ohio Edison transformer o Start-up ** Fuel and oil will be supplied by the city. ** Any fuel or oil remaining in the existing generator will be removed by the city. ** The city will relocate the existing generator upon disconnection. The city will also place the new generator on the foundation. ** The contractor shall furnish all necessary materials, not being supplied by the city, for the services listed above. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check, an irrevocable letter of credit in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the amount bid, or digital or paper bid bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the amount bid, signed by a Surety Company authorized to transact business in the State of Ohio. Such check or bid bond shall be made payable to the City of Aurora, Ohio and will be held as a guarantee that in the event the bid is accepted, and a contract awarded to the bidder, the Contract will be duly executed and its performance properly secured. If not providing a digital bid bond, wet-ink original bid bonds, checks, or letters of credit must be delivered to the Office of the Director of Public Service, Aurora Service Department, 158 W. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids received, and accept any bid which it deems most favorable to the City Estimate: $80,000.00 All bid forms, contract documents, and plans are available through the Bid Express website. A fee of $50 will be incurred to bid electronically on a pay-per-solicitation basis; alternatively, vendors may subscribe for $60 per month to have access to all solicitations and email notifications.
