Project Description:Provide a standby generator and fuel tank at the Scottsville Water Resource Recovery Facility (WRRF) and extension of emergency power to the Scottsville Wastewater Pump Station (WWPS) to replace an existing generator. The generator and select electrical equipment will be Owner furnished equipment for installation by Contractor. The Scottsville WRRF is located at 100 Page Street, Scottsville, VA 24590. Project includes installation of a generator and fuel tank at the Scottsville WRRF on an elevated steel platform, installation of electrical conduit and conductors to the Scottsville WWPS, demolition of an existing generator at the Scottsville WWPS, and modifications to the existing electrical equipment at both the Scottsville WRRF and WWPS. Do not place concrete floors and slabs in a checkerboard sequence. 2. Consolidate concrete during placement operations, so concrete is thoroughly worked around reinforcement and other embedded items and into corners. 3. Maintain reinforcement in position on chairs during concrete placement. 4. Screed slab surfaces with a straightedge and strike off to correct elevations. 5. Level concrete, cut high areas, and fill low areas. 6. Slope surfaces uniformly to drains where required. 7. Begin initial floating using bull floats or darbies to form a uniform and open-textured surface plane, before excess bleedwater appears on the surface. 8. Do not further disturb slab surfaces before starting finishing operations.
