Site work for a bridge / tunnel in Washington, District of Columbia. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
As of November 4, 2025, this project is temporarily on hold. A general contractor has not been identified. A firm construction timeline has not been established. Repair Granite Coping and Balusters at Arlington Memorial Bridge a. Once shop drawings have been approved, fabricate 19 granite balusters, 31 LF of coping and 1 plinth b. Prepare site by removing all existing grout and pin connections. Clean existing granite to be free from paint markings and vehicle scuff marks. c. Contractor shall provide all means and methods for the installation which includes grout and pin connectors and general construction necessary to reconstruct the granite stone railing, as well as resetting and repointing adjacent balustrades which have shifted. d. Contractor to remove and reset, as necessary, adjacent balustrades in order to repair cracked mortar 10 feet in either direction from the restoration site e. All standards, materials and installation shall adhere to project plans and specifications The period of performance of this project shall be a maximum of 120 days
