Site work, new construction and addition to a mixed-use development in Climax Springs, Missouri. Completed plans call for the addition of a 64,388-square-foot, one-story above grade educational facility; for the construction of a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.

A. The project consists of the addition of a PEMB metal building and connecting corridor to the existing building. Bid alternates of the project include adding a new connecting corridor and a separate bid alternative of infill the corridor with restroom/locker rooms. The work consists of, but is not limited to, selective demolition of existing elements, site work, new construction with pre-engineered metal building, masonry, casework, concrete, TPO roof systems, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and interior finish work. The owner will fully occupy adjacent areas during construction. The project is located at Climax Springs R-IV School, 575 Climax Avenue, Climax Springs, MO 65324 in Camden County, Missouri. Missouri Prevailing Wage Rates will apply to the work. The Contractor's company shall have been in business for at least five (5) consecutive years under the current name and ownership and shall be financially sound and solvent. The Company shall have successfully completed projects of similar size and scope. Submission of AIA Form 305, Contractor's Statement of Qualifications shall be submitted to the Architect no later than 5:00 pm, Five (5) calendar days prior to the bid opening, see Section 000500. Bid Bond: Each bid proposal shall be accompanied by a 5% bid security in the form of a cashier's check, a certified check, or a bid bond executed by the bidder and Surety Company. See Instructions to Bidders for more information. Surety/Bonding Company must be acceptable to the Owner and be authorized to transact business in the State of Missouri. The Administration Conference Room is located on the northeast corner of the school directly adjacent from the location of the new PEMB structure. Bidders shall submit a bid in conformance with the Instructions to Bidders in the Project Manual. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and may waive any or all informalities in the bid process. The Owner's decision regarding the approval/denial of bids are based on various factors such as, but not limited to, quality, time constraints, and service. All decisions will be in the best interest of the district and shall be final. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of Thirty (30) days subsequent to the specified time for receipt of bids. Bidder and any subcontractors must follow and enforce all requirements of Missouri's Prevailing Wage Laws.
