Building 31A 6th floor is occupied by National Eye Institute (NEI). The institute has decided to renovate the entire floor and create a more modern environment to facilitate collaboration and interaction among different occupant groups. The space to be renovated is approximately 12,379 sf, including circulation areas and Women’s & Men’s restrooms. The existing 6th floor has been completely demoed. 2.1. Construction Documents: The drawings and specifications, herein referred to as ‘construction documents’, are listed in paragraph 6.1. This project includes a new full renovation of the sixth floor of NIH Building 31A. Existing partitions floor coverings, ceilings, plumbing fixtures must be replaced with new. New HVAC, electrical and plumbing are included to support the function of the space. 2.2. Construction Duration: The renovation is to be completed as one project with minimum mobilizations and a reduction in construction time. This project to be completed within 270 calendar days after award. If there is a project schedule delay, that is not the fault of the Government, the Contractor must provide a schedule recovery plan to maintain the original project schedule (or as officially amended by CO). *This project is being bid by invitation only.
