NINDS needs replacement and addition of current Cage wash machines in building 35. They have identified Tunnel Washer #1, Rack Washer #2, and P-line bottle automation system #3, and Cabinet Washer #4. Contractor to provide design build cost as a whole and each washer to be designed to build independently by itself. Contractor to provide cost proposal for deduct options for each washer #1, # 2, #3, and #4. This project consists of providing a design and construction to replace one Tunnel Washer and one Rack washer and add a new Bottle automation system and add a new Cabinet Washer. Significant project features include: 2.1. Design Build to address detailed coordination of demolition of existing equipment and installation of the new equipment / system in all related disciplines including but not limited to architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, vivarium planning, and fire protection requirements. 2.1.1. System #1: Tunnel Washer Replacement – See attached manufacturer’s instructions 2.1.2. System #2: Rack Washer Replacement – See manufacturer’s instructions 2.1.3. System #3: Addition P-line Bottle automation system – See manufacturer’s instructions ; Contractor to investigate spatial requirements of the system and existing space availability. Contractor to provide study of existing space and recommend best option to fit the system into room BB103A and BE 731A area. 2.1.4. System #4: Addition Cabinet washer – See manufacturer’s instructions ; Contractor to investigate the existing space and provide necessary utility connections to meet manufacture’s requirements.
