Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Vancouver, Washington. Conceptual plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

SCOPE The project is located at the Clark County Fairgrounds and the work is only for Parking Lot "A" and is 8.66-acre area and is currently a mix of gravel, chip seal and asphalt that has run its course of useful life. The project will consist of but not limited to: excavation of existing parking area, conduit runs, water quality facilities, detention water facilities, drainage pipes, catch basins, curbs, erosion control, utility adjustments, relocation of sheds, re-grading of work area, paving, striping, etc. The project will be bid as Phase 1 is the base and includes Alternate items. Phase 2 will be an alternate bid and includes Alternate items. There will be an in-ground detention facility in each phase. Phase 1 Base bid - with Crushed Aggregate and Asphalt o Alternate with Concrete amended subgrade Is the Eastern most part of the project and is approximately 6.41 acres. There will be an in-ground detention facility as well as a concrete valley gutter. Phase 2 Alternate bid - with Crushed Aggregate and Asphalt. o Alternate with Concrete amended subgrade is the Western most part of the project and is approximately 2.06 acres. There will be an in-ground detention facility as well as a concrete valley gutter **DO NOT PUT IN ANY DROP BOX LOCATED IN THE BUILDING** Clark County shall reserve the right to reject any or all bids, or items bid. In accordance with Washington State Code, all public work submittal to the County by interested bidders shall be accompanied by a 5% BID BOND, in the form of a surety bond, postal money order, cashier's check, or certified check, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid proposed. Public work is defined as "all work, construction, alteration, repair, or improvement other than ordinary maintenance. A 100% PERFORMANCE BOND and PAYMENT BOND shall be additionally required of a successful bidder of any public work. Should a successful bidder fail to furnish this bond within ten (10) days after notice of bid award, exclusive of the date of notice, his five percent (5%) bid bond shall be forfeited to the County, and the contract shall be awarded to the next lowest and best bidder.
