The City of Hemet is seeking a qualified Contractor to provide all necessary labor, equipment, tools, and materials to perform the removal and replacement of all 2nd floor windows, 2 story storefront windows and 2 doors at the City of Hemet Police Department Admin offices at 450 E Latham Ave located within Hemet's city limits, in accordance with the included bid specifications. (or approved equivalent). Clear anodized frame finish. - Install new 1" insulated tempered glass with the following make up: 1/4 " Solarcool Bronze tempered over 1/2'" black air space over 1/4 " clear tempered. - Seal frames with DOW Corning 795 Gray to match storefront color. - Seal interior frames and windows. - Refinish interior window surround to match existing interior finishes. - Install 2 new doors with Von Duprin panic hardware. - Reconnect doors to keypad opening system - Door keyway blanks will fit a Corbin-Russwin keyset. - Re-use Handicap door opener on west door. - New windows and frame system must meet CA Title 24 which mandates energy-efficient specifications for new and replacement windows and doors, requiring them to be dualglazed and meet specific U-factor and Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGC) standards. - Contractor is responsible for City of Hemet Building permit application, cost and inspections. - Work is being done inside the City of Hemet PD offices, and all workers will undergo a LiveScan fingerprint process at no cost to the contractor.
