Site work for a water / sewer project in Mason, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

This project consists of the abandonment of three (3) wells, two located on the same property as the city of Mason's north water tower and one located east of Kerns Road, north of Cedar Street, all within the City of Mason City Limit: Abandonment includes: o One (1) 8-inch diameter steel casing with field measured well depth of 200 feet BGL, including the removal of the casing to a minimum depth of seven (7) feet BGL. o One (1) 16-inch diameter steel casing with field measured well depth of 203 feet BGL, including the removal of the casing to a minimum depth of four (4) feet BGL. o City of Mason Howell Road Well (Well ID 33000001512) including removal of the existing vertical turbine pump, shaft, bowls, electrical disconnection and any other items necessary for a proper abandonment of said well. Project bid shall include all equipment, materials, supervision, labor, tools, temporary power, specialized equipment, complete cleanup and restoration, and all other miscellaneous work items (whether specifically mentioned) that are normally included for the abandonment of public water supply wells in the State of Michigan. Doc Note : Bidding Documents may be purchased from the Issuing Office and cost will depend on the number and size of the Drawings and Project Manual, applicable taxes, and shipping method selected by the prospective Bidder. Cost of Bidding Documents and shipping is non-refundable. Upon the Issuing Office's receipt of payment, printed Bidding Documents will be sent via the prospective Bidder's delivery method of choice; the shipping charge will depend on the shipping method chosen. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder's date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of the Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. The work consists of doing everything required to be performed and providing and furnishing all of the labor, power, materials as described in the Specifications and Drawings, necessary tools and equipment, Workman's Compensation and Property Damage and Public Liability Insurance, superintendence and all utility and transportation services required to complete in a workmanlike manner all the work required. The Owner shall have the right to make alterations in any of the work herein contemplated either before or after its commencement, when such changes are defined in a written change order by the Engineer, and provided such changes do not change the general nature and scope of the work. If such alterations diminish the quantity of the work to be done, or diminish the quantity of material to be furnished, they shall not constitute a claim for damages or for anticipated profits on the work dispensed with. The Contractor shall, however, be reimbursed for any expenses he has incurred on the deleted work. If the changes increase the amount of work, or the amount of material furnished, such increase shall be paid for according to the quantity of work actually done, and the quantity of material actually furnished and the price or prices actually stipulated in this Contract, payment either for labor performed or materials furnished shall be in accordance with the Contract Bid Proposal and accepted as full payment. Upon mutual agreement of written change order, between the Owner and the Contractor, quantities or volumes of work may be changed more than the above stipulated twenty-five percent, such changes to be at the prices shown in the Proposal. If the quantities or volumes of work are changed at the time of award of the Contract, the Owner shall have the further right to increase or decrease such revised quantities or volumes by twenty-five percent (25%) by subsequent change order at any time prior to date of substantial completion. The Contractor shall provide all labor, tools, equipment, and materials necessary to attempt to remove all obstructions from the well that may hinder proper plugging. Obstructions may include pump rods, drop pipes, packers, submersible pumps, pump parts, shafts, support structures, wires, pitless adapter parts, draw down seals, jet assemblies, rock, brick, concrete, wood, soil, or any other material that may prevent free flow of grout to the bottom of the well. Electrical disconnections of the pumping equipment shall be made in accordance with applicable electrical codes. All work is to be done in accordance with Part 127, Michigan Water Well Construction and Pump Installation Code, of 1978 PA 368, as amended (Act 368), ODWMA Policy and Procedure on "Grouting of Community Water Supply Wells", and the specification contained herein
