Estimated Value Notes: $4,000,000.00 to $4,500,000.00 The Project includes the following Work: Base Bid: Removal of approximately 300 feet of galvanized pipe and associated appurtenances and valves, ranging from 8" to 54". Installation of approximately 300 feet of Schedule 5 stainless steel pipe and associated appurtenances and valves, ranging from 8" to 54". Installation of air blower and approximately 150 feet of 6" Schedule 5 stainless steel air piping, with associated appurtenances and valves. Removal of filter media and demolition of concrete underdrain in 3 gravity filters, each with 2 (18x10) cells. Construction of 16-inch concrete fill in each filter cell, followed by installation of new Leopold underdrain. Installation of new filter media, consisting of 12" of sand and 18" of anthracite coal. Installation of 13 VFDs: 4 for high service pumps (40 HP), 1 for backwash pump (40 HP), 3 for low service pumps (25 HP), and 5 for well sites (30 HP). Installation of 2 new CO2 feeders and associated piping. Removal of 3-pane window in control room, to be replaced with CMU. Upgrades to the plant's SCADA and cybersecurity systems. Clean-up, start-up services, and all other miscellaneous work required, but not explicitly mentioned, as inferred from the construction contract documents. Bid Alternate #1: Removal of 35 feet of 30" galvanized pipe, including associated appurtenances and valves. Removal of 16" galvanized riser pipe and butterfly valve. Installation of 25 feet of 30" Schedule 5 stainless steel pipe, with associated appurtenances and valves. Installation of new 16" ductile iron riser pipe and butterfly valve. The Bidder to whom the contract is awarded will be required to furnish a construction performance bond and a construction payment bond to the Owner in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract award for each bond, in conformance with the requirements of the Contract Documents. The construction performance bond and construction payment bond shall remain in full force until the completion of the Contract as specified in the General Conditions. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid security. Bid security will take the form of a bid bond in an amount of ten percent (10%) of the Bidder's maximum Bid price or a cashier's or certified check made payable to Owner in an amount of five percent (5%) of the Bidder's maximum Bid price. The Bid security will be retained by the Owner if the successful bidder refuses or fails to enter into an Agreement within fifteen (15) days after Notice of Award or fails at time of executing the contract to furnish a construction performance bond and construction payment bond guaranteeing the faithful performance of the work. Bids may not be withdrawn after the time fixed for opening them. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to waive any irregularities therein.
