The Village of Winnetka ("Village") operates a power generation and water treatment facility located at 735 Tower Road, Winnetka, Illinois, 60093 ("Work Site"). The Village invites qualified firms to submit a proposal to perform retaining wall design and construction services along a driveway located on the Work Site. Bid Bond 10% Questions should be directed to Dell Duckworth, Assistance Finance Director, by email at dduckworth@winnetka.org. The questions and answers will be posted to the Village website for all interested parties to review. Questions received after 5:00 p.m. on September 10, 2025, will not be answered. SCOPE OF WORK Attached as Appendix A is a site plan with elevation contours of the Work Site. Work identified by the Village is as below but is not necessarily all encompassing. The Proposer should endeavor to find, in their expertise, any areas that need addressing. The scope of work is approximately 335 linear feet of retaining wall installation and drainage improvements. The Consultant shall provide all necessary professional services, i.e. engineering, design, to prepare project plans, specifications and cost estimate (PS&E) for the Work Site. Consultant shall also provide support services to the Village during the bidding and construction stages of the projects. Tasks are as follows: Task 1 Project Kickoff and Data collection meeting Attendance of kick-off meeting to accomplish this task. Establish project goals, roles, responsibilities, schedules and to review all phases, tasks, assumptions, and deliverables. Data request. Kick-off meeting summary. Task 2 Assessment and Design Report Perform necessary survey of the existing facilities. Visit the site as necessary to finalize pre-design detail and layout. Ensure design meets industry standard practices. Utilizing the engineered plans, determine what permits are required with all local, state or federal governing bodies, as needed, to perform the Work Determine infrastructure changes required for implementation.
