The proposed work includes the following major items: +- 2,750 S.Y. HMA Milling, Variable Depth 375 TON Hot Mix Asphalt 9.5M64-10R Surface Course, 2" Thick +- 750 Hot Mix Asphalt 19M64 Base Course, 4" Thick+- 570 S.Y. Concrete Sidewalk, 4" Thick. +- 1,950 L.F. 6"x8"x18" Concrete Vertical Curb Third Street (Phase 2): From Center Street to Station 4+25 Third Street (Phase 3): From Station 4+75 to Lake Drive Horton Avenue: From South Hannevig Avenue (CR 659) to Station 12+61.5 Each proposal bid must be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check for not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid, of which, the amount of the bond or certified check need not exceed $20,000, made payable to the BOROUGH OF BROOKLAWN. All blank spaces in the proposal, except as otherwise noted, must be filled in; and no change shall be made in the phraseology of the proposals or of the item mentioned. All information that may be requested of the bidder in these specifications shall be included with this proposal. The successful bidder will be required to furnish, within ten (10) days after the award, a Surety Corporation Performance Bond or Letter of Credit equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids, to waive any informalities, or to accept the bid, which in its judgment, best serves the interest of the OWNER. Estimated budget: $175,000 to $225,000 MBE (19%), WBE (6.9%) Complete all work required for Substantial Completion in SIXTY (60) days Question Deadline 09/22/2025 at 10:00 AM ET All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents shall be submitted, in writing, to Engineer. Replies will be issued by Addenda, mailed or delivered to all parties, recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents. Only questions answered by formal written Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect.
