Renovation of a military facility in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility.
Remove existing kitchen cabinets and install new PVC and laminated cabinets, along with floating floor installation throughout the house unit at USCG Housing. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, tools, and supervision necessary for the work. Cabinet removal includes clearing the kitchen, disconnecting utilities, and disposing of old cabinets. Installation involves securing base and wall cabinets, aligning doors and hardware, and finishing with toe kicks and crown molding. Floating floor installation requires subfloor preparation, underlayment placement, plank installation with expansion gaps, and final cleaning. The contractor must also handle cleanup, final inspection, and provide care instructions for installed materials. Work must be completed within 15 days of notice to proceed, including submittal reviews and project closeout. Safety, security, and environmental regulations must be followed, including obtaining security passes, preparing a Job Safety Analysis, and managing hazardous materials. Daily site cleanup and protection of property are required. The contractor must coordinate with USCG Facilities Engineering and submit a warranty document certifying compliance with manufacturer recommendations and coverage for defects or damage.
