Box Canyon Spillway Repair Public Utility District No. 1 of Pend Oreille County (the District), is seeking bids for a contractor to assist the District in rehabilitation and repair of the Box Canyon Spillway. The purpose of the bid is to obtain a contractor to perform rehabilitation and repair of Box Canyon Dam Spillway Bays 1 and 2. The work will be performed under the direction of the District's Project Manager or other designated District personnel. The work will be done under a written contract in a form acceptable to District. The District shall be the exclusive judge of all bids and reserves the right to accept or reject any bid proposal based upon its own criteria and sole judgment. The selected contractor will be responsible for the rehabilitation of the spillway apron slab downstream of the service gate at Bays 1 and 2 of Box Canyon Dam. Portions of the Work involve dewatering of the Work area, demolition and disposal of the existing apron slab and reinforcement, preparation of the demolished surface, and installation of a reinforced concrete repair patch to restore the As-built dimensions of the spillway crest. Portions of the dewatering Work involve the installation of equipment including a bulkhead to be furnished by the District. It is desired by the District to have this project start on or around September 22, 2025 and be completed by December 12, 2025. Bid Requirements Each bid must be accompanied by the following: The completed bid proposal form. Bidders also to furnish a project schedule. A bid guarantee in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the bid amount, made payable to PUD No. 1 of Pend Oreille County. Performance and payment bonds will be required with the contract. The State of Washington prevailing wage rates are applicable for this contract located in Pend Oreille County. Bidders are responsible to verify and use the most recent prevailing wage rates.
