The City of Hollywood will receive sealed bids/proposals from qualified firms to furnish the goods and/or services identified in the specifications document. The City of Hollywood, Florida (City) is seeking bids from qualified and experienced contractors hereinafter referred to as the Contractor or Bidder, to provide Sidewalk Construction & General Right-of-Way Maintenance Work, in accordance with the terms, conditions, and specifications contained in this solicitation. The Work involved with the Project shall include, but may not be limited to, the furnishing of all labor, materials, tools, equipment, machinery, superintendence, mobilization and services necessary to perform the services. Note: all prospective bidders/respondents are hereby cautioned not to contact any member of the city of hollywood staff or officials other than the specified contact person. Work included: Provide all labor, materials, equipment, fabrication, incidentals, transportation, placing and supervision necessary to complete all cast-in-place concrete work, its finishing, and all related work called for by the Contract Drawings and/or Specifications, or reasonably inferable from either or both, as needed for a complete and proper installation. B. Related work: Work affecting this Section includes, but is not limited to: 1. Shop Drawings-Per General Conditions and Supplementary Conditions and as specified herein. 2. Materials and storage thereof 3. Reinforcing-Bar and fabric 4. Accessories of every nature, including form tie system. 5. Formwork and removal thereof, including shoring and reshoring 6. Concrete proportions and mixes 7. Placing of concrete 8. Admixtures 9. Joints, metal joint screeds and joint fillers 10. Finishes of all types 11. Protection and curing 12. Patching 13. The Contractor is advised to visit the job sites to familiarize himself with the existing conditions and/or any difficulties, which may arise. Contractor agrees to provide the replacement or repair of various existing damaged sidewalks and handicap ramps within the City. Contractor agrees to provide for the construction of new concrete sidewalks (width to be determined by Project Manager) with new handicap ramps in locations to be selected throughout the City. Contractor agrees to provide for the construction of new handicap ramps and the replacement or repair to existing handicap ramps in locations to be selected throughout the City. Construction plans for new sidewalks and ramps will not be provided, refer to Technical Specifications, for all applicable City, County & State standards and requirements for execution of work. Construction plans for general asphalt maintenance work may not be provided, refer to Technical Specifications, for all applicable City, County & State standards and requirements for execution of work. All locations are subject to change, and the Contractor shall not proceed at any location without first receiving a Notice to Proceed or Purchase Order (PO) from the Project Manager. Locations may be modified, added, or subtracted, throughout the contract period. The Contractor agrees to cooperate and work with the City of Hollywood Development Services Department, Engineering Division in scheduling work requested.
