The City of Hollywood will receive sealed bids/proposals from qualified firms to furnish the goods and/or services identified in the specifications document. The City of Hollywood, Florida (City) is seeking bids from qualified and experienced contractors hereinafter referred to as the Contractor or Bidder. The Contractor shall perform resurfacing of City of Hollywood streets and alleys, including milling to an average depth of 1", asphalt leveling, and placement of a new asphalt surface. Note: All Prospective Bidders/respondents Are Hereby Cautioned Not to Contact Any Member of the City of Hollywood Staff or Officials Other Than the Specified Contact Person. The bidder is advised to visit the job sites to familiarize himself with the existing conditions and/or any difficulties, which may arise. Contractor agrees to provide resurfacing of Streets and Alleys, miscellaneous concrete items including but not limited to sidewalks, ADA ramps, restoration of thermoplastic striping, within City Rights-of-Way. Asphalt resurfacing includes milling City of Hollywood Streets/Alleys, with an average depth of 1", leveling and placement of new asphalt pavement surface. As necessary, Contractor agrees under the direction of the Project Manager to provide scarification of the upper layer of limerock base, to match existing elevation prior to placement of new asphalt pavement surface. Plans may or may not be provided for replacement of thermoplastic striping, Retro-reflective pavement markers, any relocation/replacement of existing signage within City Rights-of-Way, to comply with the most current Standards from Broward County Traffic Engineering Division. Construction plans for resurfacing of Cities Streets & Alleys may not be provided, with the exception of the City standard details, current Broward County Traffic Engineering Standards, and the latest FDOT Standard Plans. All locations are subject to change, and the Contractor shall not proceed at any location without first receiving a Notice to Proceed or Purchase Order (PO) from the Project Manager. Locations may be modified, added, or subtracted, throughout the contract period. The Contractor agrees to cooperate and work with the City of Hollywood Development Services Department, Engineering Division in scheduling work requested. Refer to Technical Specifications, for all applicable City, County & State standards and requirements for execution of work. A Bid Bond is not required for this bid
