The United States Coast Guard (USCG) requires services for testing, preventive maintenance, and annual fuel polishing of generator equipment located at STA Fort Macon. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, supplies, equipment, and tools necessary to perform preventative and corrective maintenance on the generator and fuel polishing service for a 510-gallon belly tank. Preventive maintenance must follow manufacturer instructions and industry standards. The contractor must respond to routine service calls within 24 hours and perform initial troubleshooting and repairs during the first visit when possible. Corrective maintenance is included, with repair parts not to exceed $5,000 and labor hours not to exceed 20 annually. Fuel polishing must be performed once per year, including remediation of fuel to ASTM standards, removal of waste and water bottoms, tank treatment (biocide if needed), cleaning via dialysis method, and filtering of #2 ULSD fuel. One ASTM Diesel Fuel Test is required, covering ASTM D93, D5453, Microbial Growth Culture Medium, D1298, D4176, D130, and DFS1 standards. All work must comply with federal, state, and local laws and regulations, including ANSI/API standards for petroleum tank cleaning and vacuum truck operations. The contractor must maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair activities and provide them to USCG upon request.
