The City of Long Beach Department of Public Works Project Management Bureau is seeking contractors to procure and install landscaping at Junipero Beach. Questions Due to the City: 11:00 AM, September 9, 2025 All communication with the City related to this ITB must be directed to the contact listed Richard Peoples purchasingbids@longbeach.gov The City of Long Beach Department of Public Works is seeking a contractor to procure and install native dune plants at Junipero Beach, adjacent to the recently opened Sports Courts. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to: installing temporary perimeter fencing and clearing the site of all non-native and invasive vegetation, trash, and debris; procuring native seed and plants based on the plant schedule outlined in the Plans; installing new permanent sand fencing and container plants, and performing hydroseeding; and maintaining the newly landscaped area for a 90-day establishment period, as provided in the landscaping plans (Appendix 1) and project specifications (Appendix 2). Additional Background: The Department of Public Works strives to operate, preserve, and enhance the City's physical infrastructure and transportation systems. The Project Management Bureau is responsible for the delivery of improvements to the City's parks, public facilities, Tideland areas, and public rights-of-way. The work is within the City of Long Beach coastal zone. This work will be funded from the Tidelands funds as well as funding from the National Fish and Wildlife Fund. This work must adhere to the provisions and conditions outlined in Local Coastal Development Permit #2211-11 (Appendix 3) and Coastal Development Permit De Minimis Waiver # 5-23-0400-W (Appendix 4). The Landscape Contractor shall provide all the materials, labor, tools, plants, seeds, supplies, equipment, transportation, superintendence, temporary construction of every nature, and a l other services necessary to complete the installation of the New Landscape Area, including all incidental work described in the contract documents. The scope of work is contained in the Contract Documents. Procuring native seed and plants based on the plant schedule outlined on the Plans. Installing new permanent sand fencing and container plants and performing hydroseeding.
