Renovation of a municipal facility in Saint John, New Brunswick. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The existing roof drain which is approx. 75mm in diameter does not drain properly and water infiltration occurs through the adjacent masonry in to the mechanical and electrical rooms. The associated piping, sump and pumps have insufficient capacity. Consultant to complete a site investigation to review issues related to project scope of work and provide recommendations with options in the form of a Business Case to improve drainage on the sunken roof and mitigate water infiltration. Consultant must ensure that the roof drain, drainpipe, and sump are appropriately sized. All work is to be in accordance with the most recent National Plumbing Code of Canada (NPC) and any other applicable codes and standards. TIMELINE: A Request for Proposal for design services has been issued by the Owner. Further update may be confirmed upon award. Official bid documents must be obtained from www.bgis.merx.com and bid submissions must be done through the Merx platform.
