Renovation of a military facility in Alameda, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility.
Replace doors and glass wall. The intent of this Statement of Work (SOW) is to have the contractor furnish all labor, materials, and equipment to perform the required tasks at Building 24/26, Base Alameda. Due to numerous attempts at repairing the front door and back door of Bldg. 24/26, existing door is deemed unsafe for continuous use and needs full replacement to restore access to the Unaccompanied Personnel Housing (UPH) Building. This scope of work is to replace the 2- story storefront and door assemblies (front and back door). *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Furnish all labor, materials, services, equipment and supervision to remove and replace the front and back main entrances to the Barracks on Coast Guard Island (quantity: 2 complete two-story storefront systems). The work includes removing and replacing all glass and framing on the glass storefront walls that span two floors of Building 24/26. All work shall be done in accordance with industry standards. 5.01 Remove the awning that spans the glass wall and any other interference necessary to gain access to the entire storefront system. 5.02 Disassemble existing storefront (glass/framing) metal framing and proceed to remove it from the rough opening. 5.03 Install temporary tarping/weatherproofing throughout the project. 5.04 Clean and prep the rough opening. 5.05 Install new framing into the opening. 5.06 Ensure all framing is plumb and level 5.07 Anchor all framing into place. 5.08 Hang new door. 5.09 Install new glass panes into the frame. 5.10 Ensure the frame has been properly glazed. 5.11 Caulk entire frame on all sides to establish a primary caulk joint. 5.12 Complete all finish work, weather proofing as necessary. 5.13 Ensure a clean jobsite upon completion of work. 5.14 Repeat steps 5.01-5.13 for second entrance.
