Question Deadline 09/23/2025 Questions requesting clarification of the bid must be submitted in writing to the Procurement Officer Ashley Evans Telephone: 785-296-8107 Before the end of the day SCOPE: Kansas Department of Corrections is seeking competitive bids for a Chiller Replacement at the Wichita Work Release Facility in Wichita, Kansas. This Project consist of replacing the existing chiller with a new chiller utilizing the existing cooling tower. A mandatory prebid site visit is scheduled for Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at 10:00AM. o On site visit required. o Provide all labor, materials and equipment necessary to replace existing chiller with the appropriately sized Modular Chiller in the basement of the WWRF building utilizing the existing cooling tower with new media material. o Mobilize on jobsite. o Demo existing chiller, dispose of per EPA regulations, WWRF will recover freon prior to demo. o Furnish and install new modular chiller of appropriate size to cool the building. o Retrofit all electrical, as needed. o Retrofit chilled water and condenser water piping, as needed. Fit to the existing water tower. o Insulate piping, as needed. o Factory start up. o Verify proper operation of the system. o De-mobilize and remove all debris from work site. o Work is to be performed during normal business hours between 8am to 4:00pm. o Provide warranty for the equipment. o Bidders shall provide product data and specifications for the intended equipment. o A bid bond is required to be submitted with the bid. o Bidder will reconnect existing building management controls and verify operation or sub-contract Waldinger to connect. Waldinger is our building management control vendor. This is at bidder's expense.
