Reference Number 0000397241 Job Location City of Berkley Public Library The City of Berkley is soliciting proposals from qualified contractors to construct two study rooms at the Public Library. SCOPE OF SERVICES The successful bidder will provide the services and materials listed below at the Berkley Public Library : Create two semi private study rooms within the existing area in the library. Rooms will be approximately 12'x9' each Existing drop ceilings will be utilized in each room and exterior wall will be used as finish wall Add 2 power outlets to each study room Spilt existing HVAC duct to accommodate each new study room Finish will include tempered glass on north and south sides of room Glass will be 3' off the ground and extend to 7' height and be approx 6' wide each and will be insulated Rooms to be constructed with 20 gauge 3-5/8" metal studs. Fire rated 2x4 to be used around door openings. Sound proofing and fire-resistant stone wool insulation will be used in all walls. 5/8" drywall to be used on all walls and finished and painted with two coats of paint, City will pick color. All glass areas will be trimmed out to match oak finished throughout the library. Both rooms will have a 36" x 6'-8" door matching existing doors in library. All trim will be stained to match existing.
