Renovation of a water / sewer project in Ramapo, New York. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

The Town of Ramapo is requesting proposals for a survey, design and specifications to install/purchase two (2) new 25 kW Kohler or approved equal gaspowered generators, gas/electric hook-ups at to (2) pump stations. The generators will be hooked up into natural gas lines in each area. The gas line will be extended via trench digging from the closest access point and extend to the pump station. The concrete pad will have risers extending the generators at least 2 feet above the base flood elevation. A transfer switch will be installed at each location to handle power distribution from each generator. The power from the transfer switch will run to the pump station through conduits to allow for the full backup power, in the Town of Ramapo, at 29-35 Bayard Lane and 13 Hawk Street in Rockland County, NY. All plans, specifications and permitting shall be included. Both sites shall be surveyed enough to determine flood elevations. Any required wetlands delineation shall also be included. It requires all supporting documents to go to a competitive bidding process. The project is part of a Hazard Mitigation Grant and must be designed and bid per the requirements of such grant.
