The City's interest with this private development is: 1) create a permanent residential presence on-site to support the live, work, play concept we strive for as part of the overall master plan; 2) increase the availability of high-quality multi-family housing stock within our community, which is currently in-demand; 3) establish a residential buffer between the existing adjacent single family neighborhood and higher intensity commercial and recreational land uses that are part of the master plan; and 4) partner with a private developer to construct portions of site infrastructure required to support the entire project. Approximately 48.5 acres of the site have been reserved for construction of a multi-family residential development - generally shown on Page 13 of Attachment E. While the vision for this portion of Uptown is described in Attachment E, the City is interested in all concepts that support our goal of high-quality residential living.
