Question Acceptance Deadline 09/22/2025 02:00 PM EDT Questions are submitted online No .Refer Inquiries To: Jessica Albright Purchasing Agent Attention: Address: Telephone Number: 910-455-2211 EXT 71434 E-Mail Address: Jessica.albright@onslow.k12.nc.us Requisitioned By: Daniel Gray- Maintenance Director Daniel.Gray@onslow.k12.nc.us Removal of existing EPDM single ply membrane, existing metal trim down to existing insulation and fiberboard (if any) and the recovering of roof with new 1/2 " gypsum core boards with fiberglass facer mat (Dens Deck Prime Roof boards by Georgia Pacific, or equivalent) and a new 60 mil, reinforced, smooth white, fully adhered TPO membrane roofing system with 20-year NDL manufacturer's warranty. Contractor is responsible for the legal disposal of all debris. The existing insulation and roof deck shall remain in place. All skylights and unused curbs are to be removed and filled in with metal or 3/4" plywood. Roof areas are sloped, any areas found to pond water or where 1/8" per foot minimum roof slope does not exist shall be provided by crickets or tapered insulation for positive drainage. All areas shall receive 1/2 " thickness gypsum core board over existing insulation. Remove and remount any HVAC Equipment as needed to complete new roofing installation. When roof is completed the Contractor shall reinstall, reconnect, reposition any roof mounted equipment, fans, HVAC units, electrical wires, lights, ground wires, devices and other items removed during the roofing installation. Existing gutter and scupper locations shall be reused for new gutters, downspouts and scuppers. All gutters, scuppers, downspouts and leader heads shall be replaced by preprinted Kynar finish matching existing gutters and coping metals. Gutters will be box style 10' long minimum except where shorter lengths are required. Gutter spans longer than 50 feet shall have expansion joints at 50 feet. Gutters will be fabricated rectangular design minimum width 5" with a minimum height of 4". Downspouts terminating near ground level shall be thin wall steel tubing, 10-gauge minimum, shop primed and painted with a Kynar-resin based fluoropolymer coating to match trim color. Transition from 10 gauge steel tubing to 0.040" preprinted aluminum downspout material shall occur no lower than 8 feet above existing grade. Downspouts at locations above the 8 foot level shall be fabricated of preprinted aluminum. Attach downspouts to building walls with painted straps at 12 feet maximum, 2 per downspout minimum. Where downspouts are, required place splash block, furnished and installed by contractor where no underground drainage system exist in the ground and on the lower roofs where downspouts discharge onto the lower roofs from the higher roofs above. Provide 45 degree bent end at the bottom of the downspouts where no underground drainage connection exists. The cost of all required inspections and permits (opening and closing of permits) shall be the responsibility of the contractor. Upon completion of roofing work, contractor will furnish to the owner The Roofing Systems Manufacturer's 20 year (or longer) Full Value NDL Full System Warranty on materials and of the Roofing System, roofing, insulation, flashing and sheet metal work, 2 year Contractors workmanship warranty (guarantee) against leakage and defects due to workmanship and/ or negligence by contractor.
