Renovation of a water / sewer project in New London, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
The Project consists of identification and replacement of existing utility-side and customer-side lead service lines throughout the City with new copper service lines, as well as restoration of the impacted properties. The City of New London no longer provides copies of contract documents or drawings. Each Bid shall be submitted in accordance with Section 00 21 13, Instructions to Bidders, and shall be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of 10 percent of the Bid. Bids will be awarded to the low, responsive, and responsible/qualified bidder. Successful bidder must furnish 100 percent Performance Bond and 100 percent Payment Bond. Projects with an estimated cost greater than $100,000 are subject to minimum wage rates as per the State of Connecticut Department of Labor prevailing wage rates. Projects with an estimated cost greater than $2,000 are subject to minimum wage rates as per the federal Davis-Bacon and Related Acts (DBRA) prevailing wage laws, including reporting requirements.
