Renovation of a military facility in New London, Connecticut. Working plans call for the renovation of a military facility.

Contractor shall provide all equipment, materials, labor, and supervision necessary to completely gut the interior of Quarters 5 at 5 Seneca Drive, U.S. Coast Guard Academy, down to the framing--excluding the existing hardwood floors--and rebuild the interior. The scope includes full abatement and disposal of interior lead and asbestos, as well as exterior asbestos caulking at windows, with complete testing and documentation of successful abatement. Work also includes replacing all windows with low-maintenance, high-efficiency fiberglass windows with impact glazing; remodeling all bathrooms and the kitchen; replacing selected HVAC and plumbing components; replacing the electrical system; replacing all plaster walls and wood trim; and repairing and refinishing hardwood floors. The estimated value of the procurement is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this Time. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
