The contractor shall perform annual fire door inspections and repairs at the Greater Los Angeles VA Healthcare System facilities, including the West Los Angeles VA Medical Center (WLA), Sepulveda Ambulatory Care Center (SACC), and Los Angeles Ambulatory Care Center (LAACC). All inspections must comply with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 80 standards and be documented accordingly. The contractor is responsible for providing all labor, tools, equipment, and technical expertise necessary to inspect approximately 1,100 fire doors, as identified in life safety drawings. Any deficiencies found during inspections must be reported in PDF format within 180 days of contract award, and proposals for corrective actions must be submitted within 30 days of VA confirmation of receipt. Repairs must be quoted and approved by the Contracting Officer before execution. The contractor must have at least three years of experience in hospital fire door inspections and hold NFPA 80 training certification. Work must be conducted during normal business hours unless otherwise approved, and all personnel must comply with VA safety, security, and conduct regulations. Insurance coverage, invoicing procedures, and compliance with federal standards are also required.
