Demolition Former Storage Building - Wood Islands. Demolition and removal of existing building and associated items; including all footings, piers, foundation walls (note the foundation wall includes piers for the exterior wall pilasters), floor slabs, walls, roof, steps, decks, ramps etc. The contractor to provide water trucks with pumps and hoses, as well as a continuous supply of water, required to control and minimize any dust escaping the from the demolition site. Water shall be sprayed on the area being demolished during all demolition work, as well as material sorting and loading activity. At the end of each workday the contractor shall clean all dirt and debris from the paved driveway that is used by trucks for hauling material from and to the demolition site. Demolition of the former Storage Building shall include removal and disposal of all materials off-site, including those materials containing lead and PCBs. All material disposal is to be completed in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. The contractor is to install the silt fence, that is toed into the existing ground, in the location shown on the site plan. Supply and placement of compacted Select Borrow fill and topsoil in areas excavated and within the footprint of the building, to a finish grade that has provides drainage and blends into the adjacent existing finish grades around the building. Compaction testing will be carried out by a testing agency engaged by the Owner. Site reinstatement, including final grading, topsoil and grass seeding. Prior to placing any Select Borrow material the excavated site must be inspected by the DTI representative, to verify that all construction debris, including concrete material, has been removed from the site.
