Both boilers are adjacent to one another and are located in the lower-level mechanical room at Sterling Heights Police Department 40333 Do dge Park, Sterling Heights MI 48313. All equipment to be replaced are listed within the specifications herein. Specifications state the minimum requirements of the boiler system replacement project. Unauthorized conditions, limitations, or provisions shall be cause for rejection. Any irregular or non-responsive bids that are not prepared and submitted in accordance with this bid and specification document, or any bids lacking sufficient technical literature to enable the City of Sterling Heights to make a reasonable determination of compliance to the specification will be rejected. It shall be the bidder's responsibility to carefully examine each item of the specification. Failure to offer a completed bid or failure to respond to each section of the technical specification will cause the bid to be rejected without review as non-responsive. All variances, exceptions, and/or deviations shall be fully described in a separate attachment with references to the original line description. It is the intent of this specification to remove old units, provide and install new Aerco Benchmark 2000 boilers, circulation pumps, and intake and exhaust piping as needed. The specifications for this equipment are included in this bid request document. The City of Sterling Heights reserves the right to reject any or all bids or any part thereof, and to waive any minor technicalities.
