Renovation of a civil project in Los Angeles, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
At the Terminal Island Water Reclamation Plant (TIWRP) For the 6 primary treatment tanks: Replace sludge & scum collection system including: pumps chains flights Automate tank influent gates (3 per tank)Install 3 spool pipes per tank (18 total) Install new manual slide gate on tank 6. Also: Perform structural repairs & improvements to concrete. Install new automated venturi bypass gate w/passive overflow weir. Install tie-in locations on the deck at the perimeter of the tanks for personnel safety Notes: Remediation will be required for Lead-Based Paint & Asbestos Some of the equipment for this project is sole-sourced There is an "as-bid" Building Information Model (BIM) available for the project.
