Renovation of a mixed-use development in Kings Beach, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 435-square-foot, one-story above grade municipal facility.
A. The work under the contract includes the renovation of one (1) set of restrooms (male and female), and demolition and reconstruction of stairs and an accessible ramp in the North Tahoe Event Center (NTEC). The construction will have impacts on the users of the event center and adjacent residences. This section provides work restrictions requirements intended to mitigate these impacts. B. This Section includes the following: 1. Time of Completion. 2. General work requirements. furnishing to District of all labor, equipment, materials, tools, services, transportation, permits, utilities, and all other items necessary for the North Tahoe Event Center South Restroom Renovation Project (the Project ). Bids shall be valid for a period of 90 calendar days after the Bid opening date. Bidders wishing to mail in Bids must mail them to PO Box 139, Tahoe Vista, CA, 96148 (if mailing by USPS) or 875 National Avenue, Tahoe Vista, CA, 96148 (if mailing via FedEx, UPS, etc.), and must ensure that the Bids are received prior to the date and time specified for receipt of sealed Bids set forth above. The Work generally includes but is not limited to: Renovation of existing southern male and female restrooms and reconstruction of a concrete handicap accessibility ramp and staircase at the North Tahoe Event Center. Each Bid shall be accompanied by cash, a certified or cashier s check, or Bid Bond secured from a surety company satisfactory to the Board of Directors, the amount of which shall not be less than ten percent (10%) of the submitted Total Bid Price, made payable to North Tahoe Public Utility District as bid security. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Faithful Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond each in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price. District shall award the contract for the Project to the lowest responsive, responsible Bidder as determined by the District from the TOTAL BID PRICE ALONE. District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding process.
