Work includes cleaning and restoring the front steps of Fourmile Cabin by removing vegetation and debris, replacing damaged stones, and repointing all surfaces to closely match the original structure. Repairs to the masonry façade on the concrete foundation of Fourmile Cabin will focus primarily on the North and South walls. At Ibex Cabin, the front stone steps will be replaced and rebuilt using larger stones than currently exist, and all mortared stone foundation failures will be repaired and repointed. As the cabins are historic buildings, experience in historic masonry techniques is requested in submitted technical proposals.
