Reference Number 0000397784 The Village of Pleasantville (i.e. "Village") was awarded a US Department of Transportation (USDOT) Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) "Safe Streets and Roads for All" (SS4A) planning grant. The Village is committed to developing a comprehensive, well-defined strategy to prevent roadway fatalities and serious injuries through a public "Comprehensive Safety Action Plan". The Village of Pleasantville is soliciting technical and cost proposals (i.e. RFP response) to establish a contract through competitive negotiation with a qualified professional consulting engineering firm (i.e. Consultant) to provide professional engineering services to improve roadway safety by significantly reducing or eliminating roadway fatalities and serious injuries through the development of a SS4A "Comprehensive Safety Action Plan" and associated capital improvement projects. The proposed roadway corridor/intersection capital projects will focus on all users, including pedestrians, bicyclists, public transportation users, motorists, personal conveyance and micro mobility users, and commercial vehicle operators. The Consultant shall produce a Safe Street and Roads for All "Comprehensive Safety Action Plan" related to traffic and mobility as described in this Request for Proposal (RFP).
