Concrete Ready Mix For Iowa School for the Deaf The Agency reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, in whole and in part, received in response to this RFB at any time prior to the execution of a written Contract. Issuance of this RFB in no way constitutes a commitment by the Agency to award a Contract. This RFB is designed to provide Bidders with the information necessary to prepare a competitive Bid. This RFB process is for the Agency's benefit and is intended to provide the Agency with competitive information to assist in the selection of a Bidder to provide goods and/or services. It is not intended to be comprehensive and each Bidder is responsible for determining all factors necessary for submission of a comprehensive Bid. 3.1 Contractor will provide as-needed Concrete Maintenance and Repair services for the lowa School for the Deaf. 3.2 The Contractor will execute various projects included, but not limited to the renovation, installation, and/or replacement of concrete structures and surfaces such as sidewalks, ADA compliant ramps, scuppers, bollards, curbs, concrete grinding of trip hazards. 3.2.1 Such projects may include incidental services as pruning, relocation, and removal of trees and other plant materials, concrete saw cutting including cutting of poured concrete, slurry backfill, removal and replacement of trench backfill, asphalt saw cutting, removal of asphalt pavement, repair/restoration of landscape and irrigation systems, fence and handrail installation, repairs and replacement modification and repair of block walls and brick pavers. 3.3 The contract will supply all labor, permits, equipment and materials necessary to execute the projects. Services will be provided on an as-needed basis. The State does not guarantee a minimum or maximum amount of services. 3.4 Contractor shall ensure that concrete conforms to all applicable jurisdictional requirement. Concrete repair and maintenance shall comply with 3.5 The Contractor shall follow all applicational Federal, State, Local, ANSI and OSHA laws, rules, and regulations and all other applicable regulations for the term of this contract. 3.6 The Contractor, without additional expense to the State, shall be responsible for obtaining and maintaining any necessary licenses and permits required in connection with the completion of the required services herein. 3.7 The bidder must hold a valid license issued by the State of lowa Division of Labor prior to the submission of a proposal/bid and must maintain the same throughout the duration of the contract term and any subsequent contract extensions. Failure to maintain said license may be grounds for default of the contract and subsequent termination. 3.8 The contractor may not subtract any segment or services covered herein, without prior approval of the Contract Administrator. All subcontractors used under the scope of this contract shall meet all requirements, terms and conditions set forth herein. All Subcontracted services shall be warranted by and be the responsibility of the Contractor. 3.9 All products supplied by the Contractor shall meet all applicable Federal, State, Local, ANSI, and OSHA laws, rules and regulations pertaining to the products covered under the scope of this contract. Bidders are invited to submit written questions and requests for clarifications regarding the RFB. The questions and requests for clarifications must be received by the Issuing Officer by date Wednesday, September 17th, 2025 time 2:00pm (CT).
