The City of Independence, Missouri Water Department invites bids from firms meeting the qualifications set forth herein and in referenced documents to perform the following scope of work at the Courtney Bend Water Treatment Plant for the Water Department. The contract for this project shall provide for, but not be limited to, all equipment, materials, and workmanship required for the removal, inspection, refurbishment, delivery, installation, and startup of two (2) split-cased, High Service Pumps. The Water Department desires to refurbish this existing pump assembly to ensure operational reliability. The scope of work to be completed by the successful bidder shall be further defined by the following: Line Item No. 1) Provide for all workmanship, manufactured equipment, manufactured goods, and materials as required and as specified for complete refurbishment of High Service Pump #1. This line item work shall be completed by the Bidder as a lump sum "turnkey" project, including but not limited to removal, transportation, disassembly, cleaning, inspection, testing, rebuilding, installation, startup, and testing of the existing assembly. Line Item No. 2) Provide for all workmanship, manufactured equipment, manufactured goods, and materials as required and as specified for complete refurbishment of High Service Pump #3. This line item work shall be completed by the Bidder as a lump sum "turnkey" project, including but not limited to removal, transportation, disassembly, cleaning, inspection, testing, rebuilding, installation, startup, and testing of the existing assembly. Line Item No. 3) Provide for all workmanship, manufactured equipment, manufactured goods, and materials as required and as specified for refurbishment of High Service Pump No. 1's electric drive motor. Line Item No. 4) Provide for all workmanship, manufactured equipment, manufactured goods, and materials as required and as specified for refurbishment of High Service Pump No. 2's electric drive motor.
