New construction of a water / sewer project in Carlsbad, New Mexico. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a water / sewer project.
The City of Carlsbad has applied to the Drinking Water State Revolving Loan Fund (DWSRLF) to finance an infrastructure project for the City of Carlsbad This current drinking water project is to plan, design, and construct a new water line from the Tatum Wellfield to the existing Double Eagle Water System including phase one (1) design and construction of the waterline to connect the two water fields, plus drilling and equipping new wells and all related appurtenances. The City of Carlsbad owns and operates the Double Eagle Wellfield and Tatum groundwater diversion permits. These groundwater sources are vital parts of the City's drinking water supply portfolio. This project will construct an eleven-mile waterline to connect the City's Tatum wellfield to the Double Eagle wellfield transmission waterline. This project will provide additional drinking water supply to help meet the growing needs of the City. This project is wholly or partially funded with United States Environmental Protection Agency funds, and therefore must comply with all federal requirements contained in the Supplemental Conditions. Neither the United States nor its department's, agencies or employees is or will be party to this invitation for bids or any resulting contract.
