Renovation of a municipal facility in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The 10 old spray humidifiers serving AHUs 1-10 have exceeded their EUL and are incompliant with PSPC MD15161 Control of Legionella in Mechanical Systems. Replace with acceptable type humidifiers, i.e. steam humidifiers, sized adequately to the spaces served by the AHUs and as per the requirements of MD15000, ASHRAE62.1, and applicable codes and standards. Associated humidification system components including, but not limited to: piping, fittings, manifolds, controls and connection with the building BAS, available space for installing the new units, required clearances for the humidifier's manifold within each of the corresponding AHU and pressure drop, and the requirements for water treatment, legionella elimination provisions, etc shall be evaluated and consequently a comprehensive design shall be provided to warrant energy efficient and effective operation of the new units.
