Water Distribution System and Roadway Improvements. This project is funded in part by the Massachusetts Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF). Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. The engineer's estimate is between $3 and $4 million for the base bid. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. 1. The furnishing, installation, disinfection, and testing of approximately 19,000 linear feet of 4-inch polyvinyl chloride water main and the removal and/or abandonment of existing water mains, including new water service connections and curb stops, installation of gate valves and fittings, new hydrants, pipe restraint, and appurtenances. The proper disposal of removed water main and associated appurtenances. 2. The furnishing, installation, disinfection, and testing of approximately 200 linear feet of 4-inch HDPE water main via directional drilling. 3. Installation and maintenance of a temporary water main bypass during construction including assembly, breakdown, disinfection, and temporary connections to homes. 4. Final roadway to include twelve inches of reclaimed pavement borrow, two inches of binder course, and one and a half inches of top course hot mix asphalt in roadway. 5. Loaming and seeding, erosion control, restoration of private irrigation systems, restoration of landscaping; removing, storing, and replacing lighting fixtures and traffic signals; tree trimming, removal, and planting; maintenance of seeded areas and planting. 6. Coordination with gas, telecom, and regional water utilities. 7. Excavation and removal of rock and boulder if necessary to complete the project. The Water Distribution and Roadway Improvements Project consists of the replacement of approximately 19,000 linear feet of 4-inch water main and associated appurtenances, and roadway improvements.
