The Housing Authority of the City of Key West, Florida (the KWHA) is a municipal agency created under F.S. 421. The KWHA's mission is to provide safe, secure, and quality affordable housing solutions to citizens of the community in a manner that promotes the self-sufficiency of low-income families and meets the needs of moderate-income families in the local workforce. The purpose of this Invitation for Bids (IFB) is to obtain bids from qualified contractors to provide complete restoration/repair to two (2) unoccupied residential apartments that were damaged by fire, smoke, and water. Sealed bids accompanied by a negotiable bid guarantee of no less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid must be received The awarded Contractor shall provide all labor, tools, and equipment necessary to provide complete restoration/repair to two (2) unoccupied residential apartments that were damaged by fire, smoke, and water for property located at 1010 Emma Street, Building 6, Units C & D, Key West, FL 33040. Work includes the removal and replacement or covering of existing materials, fixtures, and equipment with new items that serve the same purpose (i.e., Level 1 Alteration). This is a labor-only contract. All materials will be provided by the KWHA through its supply warehouse.
