cope of work is to install a new fire alarm system to provide fire alarm system smoke detectors with low frequency sounder bases for notification in all units and provide notification devices in common areas. Building is not sprinklered. Fire pump serves standpipes only. Current sounder system including 398 emergency pull strings in 199 residential units (two in each unit) will be disabled under current scope of work as specified by KWHA representatives to allow existing conduits to be utilized for routing new fire alarm wiring. All 398 pull strings, along with any related components or evidence of their installation, must be removed prior to de-energizing the old equipment. For bid purposes, all wiring shall be new.
