Renovation of a residential development in Key West Nas, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.

cope of work is to install a new fire alarm system to provide fire alarm system smoke detectors with low frequency sounder bases for notification in all units and provide notification devices in common areas. Building is not sprinklered. Fire pump serves standpipes only. Current sounder system including 398 emergency pull strings in 199 residential units (two in each unit) will be disabled under current scope of work as specified by KWHA representatives to allow existing conduits to be utilized for routing new fire alarm wiring. All 398 pull strings, along with any related components or evidence of their installation, must be removed prior to de-energizing the old equipment. For bid purposes, all wiring shall be new. Where existing wiring is found to be in serviceable condition and compliant with current code, contractor may propose the potential cost savings to the KWHA for consideration. a negotiable bid guarantee of no less than five percent (5%) amount Deadline for Questions: Friday , October 10,2025 by 4:00 p.m. Last Addendum: Thursday , October 16 , 2025, by 4:00 p.m. ALL questions should be made in writing and sent via mail (1400 Kennedy Drive, Key West, FL 33040), email (sellersv@kwha.org), M/WBEs are encouraged to participate in the bid process. Allowable time for completion of the project 6 months KWHA as liquidated damages the sum of $500.00 for each day of delay (not including weekends, all Federal holidays, the day after Thanksgiving, and Good Friday). The KWHA reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informality(s) in the bidding and to award to any party considered to be in the best interest of the KWHA.
