The work includes installation of a roof safety rail assembly system, removal of existing roof ladder, installation of stairway and other miscellaneous work at the chemical building at the rockaway valley regional sewerage authority wastewater treatment plant. No bid will be received unless in writing on the forms furnished, and unless accompanied by bid security in the form of a bid bond, cashier's check, or a certified check made payable to the rockaway valley regional sewerage authority in an amount equal to 10% of the total bid, but in no case in excess of $20,000. Successful bidder must furnish 100 percent performance bond labor and materials bond. In accordance with n.J.A.C. 7:22-3.17(g) and n.J.A.C 7:22-4.17(g), all surety bonds must be written by a surety company listed on the federal treasury list (department circular 570-surety companies acceptable on federal bonds) and must be authorized to do business in the state of new jersey. The rockaway valley regional sewerage authority reserves the right to modify or change any of the bid documents by issuance of addenda. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids should the owner deem it to be in the public interest to do so.
