Preconstruction Services 10.Construction Services The City of Coralville seeks to engage a qualified construction management company to provide construction management services at risk for the construction of a new 109,700 square foot recreation and aquatics center. A study for the proposed new facility was completed by Neumann Monson Architects and approved by Coralville City Council August 13, 2024. The study evaluated two options; 1) addition and renovation of the existing facility and 2) construction of a new facility east of the current facility and then demolition of the existing recreation center. City Council approved moving forward with option 2 - New Facility. Proposed conceptual budget for the construction cost of the new facility was identified in the study as $47,621,683 (2024 estimate). Total project budget estimate is $54 million (2024 estimate). The project is being partially funded by Iowa City Community School District (ICCSD) who will be the primary user of the competition pool and share in use of the other portions of the recreation pool and the facility.
