Part 1 Improvements include earthwork, water service connection, and stormwater infrastructure to accommodate Part 2 ball diamonds improvements. The initial set is free of charge to prospective bidders, i.e. qualified general contractors. A fee of ($50.00) per set will apply to additional sets and to bidding documents requested by other than prospective bidders per set will apply to additional sets and to bidding documents requested by other than prospective bidders. This fee is refundable, provided the following conditions are met: (1) The Contract Documents are returned complete and in a good usable condition. (2) They are returned within fourteen (14) calendar days after the award of the project Concrete walkways and pavement connect proposed diamonds to existing fields and parking. Concrete aprons are provided for anticipated overflow parking. Turf establishment as indicated on plans. All other areas within the limits of disturbance not covered by turf seeding are anticipated to be disturbed with Part 2 construction activity and thus shall receive temporary mulching. Alternate #1 includes aggregate subbase and concrete pavement for a pedestrian trail connection from Kattchee Drive to Forevergreen Road. Location: Coralville, IA Work on the improvements may commence immediately upon issuance of the Notice to Proceed. The Notice to Proceed will be issued upon approval of the contract by the City Council. Issuance of the Notice to Proceed is anticipated to occur on or before September 24, 2025. The specified final project completion date is June 1, 2026. Project completion includes approval by the City Engineer of all water and electrical services and related appurtenances; surface restoration; completion of punchlist items; and submittal of final pay application. Should the contractor fail to complete the work prior to the specified completion date, liquidated damages in the amount of Two Hundred Fifty dollars ($250.00) per calendar day will be assessed until the work is fully completed.
