Provide Overhead Door Replacement, Repair and Installation on an as-needed and on-call time and materials basis, to facilities owned or operated by VDOT within the Richmond District. Period of Contract: From October 1, 2025 or Date of Award Whichever is Later, Through a One (1) Year Period. (Renewable) The contractor shall provide all necessary labor, supervision, tools, parts, materials, supplies and incidentals as necessary for repairing, replacing and installing all sizes of commercial overhead doors on an on-call as-needed basis to any VDOT facility located within the Richmond District and in accordance with the specifications contained herein. Currently there are an estimated 150 overhead doors in service throughout the Richmond District with door sizes ranging from eight (8) to twelve (12) feet in width. There are sectional and coiling type doors and construction materials may include wood, steel, fiberglass and aluminum with various operating mechanisms and related equipment. Some doors are equipped with electronic automatic openers. Virginia Department of Transportation reserves the right to add or delete facilities locations. See Attachment J for the list of facilities and locations. VDOT reserves the right to complete this work with other vendors outside the terms of this contract. VDOT reserves the right to reject any of the Contractor's employees who, in VDOT's judgment, are not adequately qualified to perform the work. This process shall be limited, and the VDOT Contract Administrator can stop the utilization of Truck Stock at any time and has the right to refuse any material. VDOT reserves the right to request additional documentation or justification of the invoiced Truck Stock costs. VDOT reserves the right to furnish any or all materials, supplies and/or equipment to the Contractor for the project and adjust the Contractor's estimate accordingly. This process shall be limited and the VDOT Contract Administrator can stop this process at any time and has the right to refuse any material. Contractor-supplied material shall be listed on the estimate provided by the Contractor. No percentage of mark-up in price will be permitted as per the Code of Virginia 2.2-4331. VDOT reserves the right to self-perform any type of work within the limits of this contract. The Contractor shall cooperate with VDOT and other contractors as necessary.
