BID NUMBER: 274-PRCR-LAKEHOWELL2025-R The project consists of improvements to the shoreline retaining walls at Lake Howell in Pullen Park, 520 Ashe Avenue, Raleigh, NC 27606. Major work items include: • Removal and replacement of most sections of the existing concrete retaining wall along the lake perimeter and island shorelines. • Installation of new modular concrete wall systems and cast-in-place concrete walls. • Removal and replacement of adjacent concrete walkways. The bid includes two options: • Bid Option 1: Remove, refurbish, repair, and reset the existing metal railing system located atop shoreline walls. • Bid Option 2: Remove the existing metal railing system and replace it with a new metal railing system alongside the shoreline walls. Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Bid must accompany each Bid and shall be subject to the conditions provided in the Instruction to Bidders. Furthermore, the City’s goal is to contract or sub-contract fifteen percent (15%) of the contract amount to certified MWBEs on construction projects over $300,000, or with contracts that include $100,000 or more in state funding.
