The Town of Canton is requesting Information from qualified parties to inform its stakeholders on the overall cost of services to perform a feasibility study on its two existing Fire Stations. Respondents to this Request for Information (RFI) are invited to respond to any or all of the questions in this document. Responses to this RFI shall serve solely to assist the Town of Canton in understanding the current state of the marketplace with regards to the solicited information or to inform the development of a possible solicitation for a Request for Proposals (RFP) or Request for Quotes (RFQ) in the future. This RFI does not in any way obligate the Town of Canton to issue or amend a solicitation or to include any of the RFI provisions or responses in any solicitation. Responding to this RFI is entirely voluntary, and will in no way affect the Town of Cantons consideration of any proposal submitted in response to any subsequent solicitation, nor will it serve as an advantage or disadvantage to the respondent in the course of any RFP or RFQ that may be subsequently issued or amended The purpose of this RFI is to elicit the advice and best analysis of knowledgeable persons in the vendor community to enable the Town of Canton to craft a potential future solicitation for feasibility studies of its two fire stations. This RFI solicitation seeks responses from vendors who can offer information about feasibility studies which meets the criteria and objectives detailed below. A Response must be signed as follows: 1) if the responder is an individual, by her/him personally; 2) if the responder is a partnership, by the name of the partnership, followed by the signature of each general partner; and 3) if the responder is a corporation, by the authorized officer. A proposer may correct, modify, or withdraw a response by written request submitted to the Town of Canton prior to the time and date set for bid opening. Modifications must be submitted via E-Mail clearly labeled Modification No.to the address listed in part one of this section. Each modification must be numbered in sequence, and must reference the Request for Proposal. Canton Central Fire Station - 99 Revere Street Canton Central Fire Station (HQ) was built in 1974 and had a major renovation around 2006. Routine building maintenance and repairs projects have occurred since then. The station sits on 1.65 acres. There is one structure that is 2-3 stories in height and multiple curb cuts. Canton Fire Station 2 - 7 Sassamon Street Fire Station 2 was built in 1964. The site is approximately 1.3 acres which abuts residential properties. Due to the constraints of the Headquarters site, the Town wishes to study the future needs of the Fire Station Headquarters and Station 2 in order to identify possible shared solutions to problems such as vehicle storage, parking and access, and to define the future building footprint, should expansion/reconfiguring of the Fire Station Headquarters/ Fire Station 2 be necessary. Alternative sites are not part of this study The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
