The project, lying entirely within Greene County and GDOT District 2, would construct streetscape improvements in downtown Greensboro along North West Street from Greene Street to SR 12/Broad Street (400 FT) and along SR 12/Broad Street from North West Street to SR 15/Siloam Road (1250 FT). Pavement will be re-striped to allow for shared bicycle lane markings and wider sidewalks. These improvements also include installing raised curbs and islands, defined pedestrian crossings at intersections, on-street parking, street trees with landscaping and irrigation, pedestrian-scale lighting and other street furnishings, ADAaccessible curb ramps, storm sewer upgrades, utilities, and retaining walls. Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of 5 percent of the total bid amount. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 120 calendar days after opening of bids.
