RICH Replace Outdoor Fire Alarm Detection and Intrusion Systems WORK COVERED BY CONTRACT DOCUMENTS A. The Work of the Project consists of furnishing all materials, labor, equipment, and supervision as required for the Project by the Project Documents; as required by applicable codes and regulations; as required by site conditions; as required by the systems manufacturer's requirements and recommendations; and as required to provide completely operable and operating systems. B. The Project consists of furnishing and installing a complete, new combination commercial fire and security detection and alarm system at each Project Site; and of removing the existing fire detection and security detection alarm systems (existing system may be combination system or separate systems). The sequence of the work shall generally be as follows: 1. For each location, install the new fire and security detection and alarm system and test the system and make fully compliant with the requirements and completely operable.2. For each location after acceptance of the new fire and security detection and alarm system by the government, the Contracting Officer (C.O.) will notify the contract that removal of the existing systems may commence. 3. Sites may be started and completed one at a time, or multiple sites simultaneously. If work will be conducted simultaneously at multiple sites the contractor must submit a written work plan detailing the start and end dates of the work, and a list of employees and subcontractors that will be working at each site, specifically. C. Work shall be completed as required by all applicable prevailing codes, including but not limited to the International Building Code, latest edition including all state and local amendments and other codes, as applicable. D. The Contractor shall perform the work in a manner as to minimize interference with the operation of the facility. The Contractor shall provide a Method-of-Procedure (MOP), for each building that clearly explains the method(s) proposed to implement the work within the limits of the Contract. E. Contractor shall provide safe OSHA compliant access to the work areas for all personnel, for the moving of equipment and materials and to allow for Government Inspections. F. Throughout the duration of the Work of this Project the Contractor shall be fully responsible for maintaining the weather-tightness of all portions of the structure effected by the work of the Contract. 1. Contractor or an authorized representative shall be available on two hour notice, twenty-four hours a day for the duration of this Project, to repair and prevent any and all leaks related to the Work. 2. The Contractor shall furnish the Government with the name (s) and personal telephone number(s) of person(s) that will respond in the event of an emergency Project Locations: a. Watt House b. Garthright House c. Ft Harrison Visitor Center (Log Cabin) d. Maintenance Shop and Garage e. Quarters 13 Residence f. Ranger Office g. Fire Pump Shelter h. Chimborazo Visitor Center
